When you’re attending Squibler tutorials, watching our webinars, or reading our documentation, you may encounter some unfamiliar terms related to our application. Here's a user-friendly glossary for Squibler that will help you understand commonly used terms.
1. Blocks
Individual files that make up your document. The AI recognizes your files, so it is a good idea to name them.
2. Brainstorm
An AI tool above Squibler’s chat box that helps you generate ideas, topics, plots, or content suggestions.
3. File
A document, manuscript, or project saved in Squibler.
4. Folder
A place to organize and store related files and elements.
5. Credits
The usage units that power AI features in your account. You can find more information about how credits work here: https://www.squibler.io/knowledge-center/account/
6. Dashboard
Your main workspace where you can access projects, manage your account, access events and our Discord server.
7. Import
Bring content from another file or application into Squibler.
8. Export
Download your work in formats such as PDF or DOCX.
9. Upgrade
Move to a higher subscription plan with additional features. You can find all our plans here: https://www.squibler.io/pricing/
10. Downgrade

11. Elements
Building blocks you can add to a project, such as characters, locations, objects, themes, facts, theories, etc. We recommend setting these up in your document as soon as you are ready to write and edit as elements help the AI understand your work.
12. Attribute
A specific detail or characteristic assigned to an element. You can add as many attributes to your element as you want.
13. Fiction
Writing based on imagined characters, events, or settings.
14. Non-fiction
Writing based on real people, facts, or events.
15. Chat Box
The area where you interact with Squibler's AI assistant.
16. Toolbar
A row of buttons that provides quick access to editing tools and features. You will find a quick edits toolbar when you highlight a word, phrase, or paragraph.
17. LLM (Large Language Model)
The AI technology that generates text and assists with writing tasks.
18. AI Model
The specific version of AI being used to help generate content.
19. Extensions

20. Prompt
Instructions or questions you give the AI.
21. Drop-down Menu
A menu that appears when you click a button to show additional options.
22. Cache
Temporary stored data in your browser. We recommend clearing your cache regularly so that Squibler works optimally on your computer.
23. Draft
A working version of your writing that can be edited and improved. Squibler has a Draft tool that can help you create new scenes, character descriptions and arcs, and much more.
24. Outline
A structured plan or roadmap for your document. Squibler’s Outline function can help you outline your current work or new sections.
25. Revise
Squibler’s Revise tool can make improvements or changes to your writing.
26. Review
Squibler’s Review tool examines content to check for quality, clarity, or accuracy.
27. Visualize
The Visualize tool can generate an image or visual representation based on your content.
28. Modified
When a file was last changed.
29. Collaborator
Someone you invite to work on a project with you. You can invite collaborators to join you on your project in Squibler.
30. Download
Save a copy of your work to your device.
31. Format
The appearance and layout of your document. Our formatting tools are in your document on the top left side of your title in the feather icon.
32. Alignment
How text is positioned on the page (left, center, right, or justified).
33. Font
The style or design of the text.
34. Bullet
A symbol used to create an itemized list.
35. Show Don't Tell
A writing technique that demonstrates actions and emotions instead of directly explaining them.
36. Rephrase
Rewrite the text using different words while keeping the same meaning.
37. Condense
Shorten content while keeping the most important information.
38. Expand
Add more detail, explanation, or content.
39. Section Break
A divider that separates parts of a document.
40. Appearance
The visual look of the application or document. You can change the screen from light to dark in Squibler.
41. Resolution
The level of detail or quality in an image. Our image generation lets you select from 1–4K image resolution.
42. Aspect Ratio
The relationship between an image's width and height. You can select the aspect ratio for your images in Squibler’s Visualize tool.
43. Highlight
Mark text with color to make it stand out.
44. MCP (Model Context Protocol)
A system that allows AI to securely connect with external tools and information sources.
45. Subscription
Your paid plan and access level within Squibler. Subscriptions with Squibler are continuous unless you downgrade.
46. Billing Period
The time between subscription payments (such as monthly or yearly).
