FAQs

Here are some of the most frequently asked questions we receive:

1. Why was I charged? / I didn't authorize this charge.

Squibler subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle (monthly or yearly). If you signed up for a free trial, your card is charged when the trial ends unless you cancel beforehand. If you don't recognize a charge, it's most likely an automatic renewal.

To avoid future charges, you can cancel your subscription anytime from your account settings (see FAQ #2). If you believe the charge was made in error and haven't used the service, contact us at mailto:[email protected] with your account email and the last 4 digits of the card charged.

2. How do I cancel my subscription?

To cancel your subscription:

  1. Log in to Squibler at squibler.io.

  2. Click your profile icon in the top-right corner.

  3. Go to Manage Plan settings.

  4. Click Downgrade.

Once cancelled, you won't be charged again unless you upgrade. Your account will switch to the Free Plan, which is free forever but has limited features. You can compare plans at squibler.io/pricing.

If you run into a "Page Not Found" error or can't find the cancel option, email us at mailto:[email protected] and we'll cancel it for you.

3. How do I delete my account and personal data?

To request account deletion, email us at mailto:[email protected] with the subject line "Account Deletion Request" and include the email address linked to your account.

Our support team will:

  • Remove your account from our payment system

  • Submit a request to our technical team to delete all your data and materials from the application

4. How do I change my plan (upgrade or downgrade)?

To change your plan:

  1. Log in to Squibler at squibler.io.

  2. Click your profile icon in the top-right corner.

  3. Go to Manage Plan settings.

  4. Choose Upgrade or Downgrade to select a new plan.

Squibler offers three plans: Free, Plus, and Pro. You can view a full comparison of features and pricing at squibler.io/pricing.

If you downgrade, you'll keep access to your current plan's features until the end of your billing period. If you have subscriptions on multiple email addresses and want to consolidate them, contact us at mailto:[email protected].

5. Why can't I log in or access my account?

If you're having trouble logging in:

  • Make sure you're using the same email address you signed up with (check if you registered with Google sign-in or a different email).

  • Try resetting your password from the login page.

  • Clear your browser cache and try again.

If you still can't get in, email us at mailto:[email protected] from the email you think you signed up with, or provide the last 4 digits of the payment method you used. This helps us locate your account securely.

6. What are AI credits, and why am I out of credits?

AI credits are used each time Squibler's AI features generate content for you — such as writing suggestions, story generation, or character creation. Each plan includes a set number of AI credits per billing cycle.

If you see an "Out of AI Credits" message, it means you've used your allocation for the current period. Your credits will reset automatically at the start of your next billing cycle.

If you need more credits sooner, you can upgrade your plan at squibler.io/pricing. If you believe your credits should have reset and haven't, contact us at mailto:[email protected] so we can check your account.

7. How do I export or download my book as a PDF or Word document?

To export your project:

  1. Open the project you want to download.

  2. Click the export/download option in the project menu on the top left by clicking the feather.

  3. Select PDF or Word as the format.

Please use a laptop or desktop computer for exporting — some features may not work on mobile devices. If you're getting an error when trying to export, try clearing your browser cache and refreshing the page.

8. Why isn't my work loading?

If your project is stuck on a loading screen:

  • Perform a hard refresh in your browser: Press Shift + Command + R (Mac) or Ctrl + Shift + R (Windows).

  • Clear your browser cache: Go to your browser settings and clear cached data.

  • Try a different browser to rule out a browser-specific issue.

  • Make sure you're using a laptop or desktop computer — mobile and tablet devices may have limited support.

If only one project won't load but others work fine, share the project URL with us at mailto:[email protected] and our team will investigate.
